Headquarters of AXA Konzern AG

Office city in a green space for more than 6,000 employees

The first part of the AXA Headquarters was completed in 1983 in Cologne-Holweide, the so-called ‘Old Town’, comprising five administrative buildings and a central building with a reception, canteen and conference rooms. The structure was expanded to include a multi-use hall, guest apartments and an underground garage for 800 cars.

Because of company growth and centralisation the ‘New Town’ was completed in 2004, continuing the architectural theme. Besides five office buildings in a park-like landscape a conference and training centre as well as a large car park building for 1,640 cars were also added to the property.

The property in brief

The property for the Headquarters of the AXA Group has individual, group and open-plan offices where the tenant has realised or plans to realise modern usage concepts in recent years.

Location

AXA chose a green location outside the city more than 35 years ago. This made it stand out from other locations with its bodies of water, trees and green areas.

Advantages

The special location and design offers the employees an appealing ambience and allows them to use breaks to go out into nature in just a few steps. A large canteen with good restaurant quality also contributes to the feel-good factor.
